It all depends on your needs and goals. Roth IRA providers may tend to push specific investments due to their product limitation. Therefore, you need to know your investment goal first and then decide what option is best for you.

There are many different providers where you can open a Roth IRA. For example, if you choose a bank, your only investment for a Roth account may be a CD with a guaranteed fixed interest. And the interest rate may be very low and you may not be able to accumulate much money with that.
